SAC and CNTA sign strategic cooperation agreement on tourism standardization work
In order to carry out the spirit of Opinions of the State Council on Speeding up the Development of the Tourism Industry, and to promote the development of tourism industry by standardization, on December 22, Standardization Administration of China (SAC) and China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) signed Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Promoting Tourism Standardization Work (hereinafter referred to as Agreement) in Beijing. Ji Zhengkun, Director of National Standardization Administration and Shao Qiwei, Chairman of China National Tourism Administration signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.
The Agreement has specified the guiding ideology and basic principle of cooperation between the two parties and established the cooperative mechanism and key fields of both sides. The Agreement mainly includes the following four points: CNTA and SAC shall jointly set up Coordination and Promotion Committee on Tourism Standardization Work, study, coordinate, and promote relevant issues on tourism standardization work; SAC will consider tourism industry as an important field in service standardization industry, and will provide policy and technical support, as well as business guidance for tourism standardization work; CNTA will give full support to the construction of standard system for the service industry, and will publicize and implement related service standards in tourism industry; both sides shall establish close cooperation in fields including jointly constituting policies and documents on promoting the progress of tourism standardization, advancing the perfection of tourism standardization system, establishing tourism standardization talent training system, supporting local tourism standardization pilot test work, promoting the internationalization and tourism standardization work and strengthening fund guarantee of tourism standardization.
The signing of the Agreement is important to carry out Opinions of the State Council on Speeding up the Development of the Tourism Industry and the guiding spirits of the State Council on tourism standardization work, and will help to promote the sustainable and healthy development of tourism industry.
